contains oils which make it resistant to water. Some glues can not be used with teak.
The oils in teak have a strong resistance to glues. Teak can be cut easily if

materials differ in their properties. Some materials break easily when you
squeeze them. Others are strong in compression. Some materials don't break or
stretch when pulled. They are strong intension. Sometimes, when you strike a
material with a hammer, it doesn't break but changes shape. It is malleable.
